Hey Lavender Lovelies!
We are starting work on our Spring Lavender print edition, and we are looking for writers/creators! Here are a few things we would love to see in this next issue, but if you have a unique idea we didn't mention then don't be afraid to reach out! You can email us if you're interested at thelavenndernewsletter@gmail.com.
Spring 2025: Diy Edition!
That's right, this next edition will be all about diy, and we're excited to hear how you all interpret that theme. Here are a few potential topics that are free for the taking:
- A how-to article on a fun fiber arts craft
- A listicle of the best diy house show venues in town
- A photo essay highlighting a local queer craft business
- An essay on getting into woodworking and what that was like
- Okay this is less explicitly diy but we would also love an opinion pieces on the Urbana mayoral election and what the new mayor can do to support our queer and trans community
We're also still looking for a columnist for our Spring Gay's Guide. All you need is to be able to write on something you know about for 6 articles over a 12 week period starting the first Monday of April. If you're interested (even if you need a little guidance on getting started), please reach out!
We love being able to highlight folks in the community in their writing and creating, so if this is calling your name you can email us at thelavendernewsletter@gmail.com with your ideas. Happy creating!
